4.2U Blackscreen

Hi, I'm new to this and for the past two days I've been trying to mod my Wii.
I've tried using dvd-R to run a backup game on NeoGamma 8, after following a tutorial but when I run the game I get DVD Read ERROR 1053.

Followed a different tutorial also for the 4.2U mod got Neogamma 9 but when I try to run the game on here I get DVD ERR(1178)
okay.. so after tons and tons of reading I ran into something that said it could be due to the drive of that specific Wii.... so I gave up on trying to run the game off a backup dvd.

Instead I used WBFS manager 3.0 put the game on a Kingston usb 128GB and used USB LOADER GX (off a tutorial) and Configurable US LOADER SD (off a different tutorial)
and when I clicked on the game to play I got a black screen, I've tried everything Pal/Ntsc games .. tried changing different settings an example would be the 002 fix (on/off/anti) but all I keep getting is the same black screen on both loaders.

I would really appreciate some help and I've read tons and now I just feel like I've wasted so much time.. if noone can fix this then I'll be paying someone local to mod it

Ps. I've followed every tutorial perfectly on youtube and/or one of the tutorials on this site.

I feel like the best thing to do would be to just wipe everything out of the system and try modding it scratch.

Follow gen3sf WBFS Tutorial, it will tell you step-by-step what to do to get your backups from the USB drive running.

Never follow a Youtube tutorial.

did you Identify your Wii ?
put in your wii serial no. (sticker on the wiis back)
if you got a D4 or D3-v2 chip your wii won't play any disc other than retail wii or gc games

run a syscheck to see whats going on

youtube is no good for wii modding.. maybe that even hurt your wii.

there is no need to wipe anything. if you want to make sure you are perfectly set up follow the any wii guide linked below. thats again reading, modding, but easily done.
i prefer fat32 usb loading (link below), but either should work if you installed your cios correctly

Sweet I follow a WBFS tutorial and it worked! Just had to get a WD external hard drive and partition it. Thanks for the help guys [:
