External HDD Problem after using USGLoader GX PLEASE HELP.

    Hi,

Last night I formatted my External HDD (which is a 320Gb Western Digital IDE drive in a USB enclosure) to WBFS using WBFS manager 3.0. I transferred a couple of games over to test it works. Fired up USBLoader GX on my wii and everything worked fine. Today I plugged my HDD into my computer to transfer over some more games but my PC won't even acknowledge the drive exists. I've tried finding it in WBFS manager and Wii Backup Manager but nothing will see the drive not even going in through My Computer option. When I plug it back into my will the drive is recognised in USBLoader GX and everything looks as it was. I'm stumped.
Any help on this issue would be very much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    1. right click my computer in XP or Computer in Vista or Win 7
    2. Click Manage
    3. Click Storage
    4. Click Disk Management

It might be there and not have a drive letter. To give it a drive letter

    1. Right click it
    2. Click Change drive letter
    3. choose a drive letter.

    Thanks for the fast reply.

It is now appearing in the disk management screen but is called disc 1. When I right click it the only options I get are; Partition, properties and Help. It still isn't showing up in My computer. Any ideas?

    Thanks again.

Try this application here and see if it will allow you to assign it a drive letter. If not, you might have to start over.

    Moved to the newbie section.

Thanks a lot for your help.

I can't change the drive letter with that program. Looks like i'm going to have to start again.

Do you know of any guides I can follow to set up my HDD for use with USBLoader GX so this doesn't happen again?

    Thanks again.

    Same thing over here

Windows became extremely slow when I connected my external hdd. Could see the letters of each drive, but my NTSC partition didnt work. Everything came back to normal when I erased it... First and last time for using USB loader GX for a while...
