Nintendo WII Black 4.3U

I will be purchasing a Nintendo WII black in the next month or so.
I currently have a white one ( my brothers who i no longer live with ).

I want to softmod this one following the GUIDE posted on this page about indianapwns like i did with the white 4.3u I have now.

Will it work?
Does it play my LEGAL backup games?
Does EXT hard drive work still?

I understand that it will not play BURNED BACK UP DISCS.
