Unhappy USB port connection broke, shorted my hard drive, all games/movies lost

While securing the USB connection today, my WD mybook usb connector broke off. I successfully removed the hard drive and took it into my local repair shop to test it for errors (it showed none). I bought a new enclosure and was on my way. Well, apparently the usb connector breaking off while it was powered on shorted everything and lost all my data because when I got home neither my pc or Wii recognized either of my two partitions (games on wbfs and movies on fat32).

The guys at the local repair shop are trying to find the data, but it's OBVIOUS they've never heard of wbfs files. Only one drive is showing up for them and it's completely blank.

My question is there a way to recover all my stuff (we're talking hundreds of games and movies) or am I SOL and starting over again?

Also, is it possible to keep it all as a FAT32 this time and play from a wbfs folder using Wii Flow. I've heard you can do it with others but I'm really attached to Wii Flow and don't wanna change. Thanks in advance for all your help!

Well, you can probably get the movies back. Give PC Inspector FILE RECOVERY a try. It might be able to read the FAT32 parttion. The WBFS partition is a different story. I fear you won't be able to fix that one.
Awesome sig picture does not work
