Any and all Wii can be hacked.

Make a hello post in the intro section here and I (or someone else) will give you all the info you need.

Haha, he just did and you welcomed him

If you get a new wii you will need to use USB Loading as the new ones will not read anything other then retail Wii and GC discs. USB Loading is better then discs anyway, don't update the wii when you get it.
    Damn I suck!!!!

oops. I just looked at the number of post he made and it said 1. I didn't pay any attention to the name. Sorry KromaZone and thank you for following the rules and making a post in the intro section before asking questions. Just have a look at the info I linked you. Everything is there that you need to know.

Posts in the intro section don't count in the post number. Example.

I should add to my original reply. While all Wii's can be softmoded that does not mean that all can play backup games from DVD-R's. If you are going out to buy a new one and intend on backing up your games then the only option you have is to use a USB hard drive. I gave you some guide links for that as well.

Thanks Krafter, my main aim is to put backups to a hd rather than Dvd-r.

I recommend the FAT32 guide in my signature to load from HDD, but you can read the other guide and decide whats best for you.
