SD / HD directory and files needed / structure for long term softmod happiness?

Not sure this should be here, but none of the Wii hacking forums really apply and it is kind of a noob question.

I am relatively new, but managed to get 4.1 softmodded,(New 3.1-4.1 Softmod) a WBFS HD up and running, USB Loader GX, some HB channels and WADs loaded and probably waiting for cIOS249 r21 to move to FAT32.

What I haven't been able to find is a guide/post kind of laying out what should be where on my SD for now, and long term what should be on a FAT32 HD with or without a SD installed.

What files have to/should remain in the root, or elsewhere?

I did my own cleanup and nothing is obviously broken yet, but I am just using it, not updating or installing much else since I did.

I deleted everything from the wad directory and cleaned up the root. Did I go to far if I need to load/update anything???

And when I move to a FAT32, can I just move the contents of the SD over and pull/blank the SD? Do I have to reconfigure/reinstall the USB Loader GX redirect to point to the HD?

Thanks in advance for the help and/or point to other guides/posts.

Current structure and root files. Don't think you want to see every file in the subs.

That is alot of stuff. It is hard to direct you without knowing how you have your wii set up.
    Wii 4.1U - cIOS38 rev17 - 500gbHDD - Wiiflow 2.1 - uLoader 5.1 - Wimc 1.0.9 - Priiloader 0.5 - boot2 - gamecube launcher 2.0 - cMIOS rev3

Becksterorange, what are you asking for that I did not include in the original post. Softmod per guide, SD card + WBFS HD, USBLoader GX via redirect to SD... Do you want to know my priiloader settings or what hacks are enabled?

    Thanks Bliepo.

Still have a NeoGamma Channel loaded, so should probably keep those dirs for now.

So I don't need any other IOS WAD or DOL files anywhere on the SD to run wad manager, specific games or some such? Do I even need the now empty WAD directory?

I have plenty of space on my SD and am not trying to save every last byte, but felt like after doing the original softmod, there were a whole bunch of files just lying around in the root and WAD folder that didn't appear to be needed after their 1 use during the process. I'm not a neat freak, but don't particularly like unnecessary clutter.

If there are files that I should have around for running any normal loading/updating of stuff, I have no problem and actually want them rather than having to go look for/download/load on to the card when I need them.

So priiloader doesn't look for hacks.ini on boot? So how would you add/change which hacks are in the priiloader menus?

And if it matters, I will probably be setting up triiforce to run Wiiware and VC stuff from SD/HD at some point. Probably do that when I change the drive over to FAT32 on r21 or whatever.

Leave the hacks.ini. My sd card only has an app folder, a wad folder, hacks.ini. and a folder I named NAND to keep my backup NAND and bootmii in. I don't know what the config folder is linked to or the image files. I have found that usbloader gx and wiiflow have nice neat folder where everything that is need for those apps are in one folder. You txt codes file is probobly not needed unless you plan on using cheats. Likewise with the codes folder. Never use mii's so don't know what that folder is for. You can move a lot of stuff to your computer and keep them there for a few. If you find that you need them, you can put them back. But from what I have seen, most apps create folders and files if they need them.

And as for wiiware I suggest looking into uloader. Triiforce is good, but it is somewhat complicated, and adding games can be a hassle. ULoader is straight forward and easy to use.

Neogamma is nice to have even if you use a USB loader now that it launches Gamecube game. That is if you like playing Gamecube games on your wii. Like others have mentioned it's kind of hard to help clean up your card but yours is 1000% times less confusing than main card. Also I wouldn't touch the private without knowing what's in there. For all I can tell from what you posted it might contain wiiware or so forth.

Private only has one file 4 levels deep. Apparently from bannerbomb???
    \private\wii\title\aktn\content.bin
\config is mostly stuff from USB Loader GX except...
    \config\images are from SD explorer???
\images is USB Loader GX covers, etc.
I must have screwed up my custom folders when I configured USB Loader GX, but kind of glad they don't conflict with the SD Explorer images since those are kind of generically named png files.

As much as anything, I am trying to find a baseline, so as I start adding more stuff, I know where it went/goes.

Will have to look into ULoader for Wiiware.

Glad to know there is not something even semi-important that I have already removed.
    Thanks

I wasn't doubting you in any way. I just know all of my wiiware and so forth is in my private folder.
