    My Softmod No Longer Works

    hi guys

right i dont know whats happened but the other half has done something to the wii, was working fine with softmod and usb hdd, now all it does is load to confg usb loader then freeze when it tries to load backed up games.

what im wondering is if it will be easier to take everything out and start again.

wii is 4.2e and is not one of the ones listed as a no go to downgrade.

    any help would be good

    thanks

    snowwy

(if this is in wrong place i apologize, feel free to move it)

Sounds like it was updated. Check the system menu and Re-softmod with a guide here. No need to remove anything.

Edit: You said its 4.2 but did you check to be sure it is still 4.2?
    Damn I suck!!!!

    Hi guys

done what krank suggested and used messies soft-mod guide, still the same thing, starts game from usb loader then freezes, so tried it again with wiiflow and same thing, i have tried this with 2 hard drives, and it does the same on both. (1 of which works on other peoples wiis)

also redone the soft mod twice incase i had missed anything.

Are you able to access the Wii's settings menu? If so, you could update to system menu 4.3, obtain a copy of Super Smash Bros. Brawl or Lego:Indiana Jones and remod the wii using this guide.

    Updating is never advised.

    @poizhan

to me it sounds like an issue with your hard drive. Try copying games to and from the drive using WBFS Manager or Wii Backup Manager. If that works then try and copy a games directly from disk to your drive using Config USB Loader

Ok you said you have 2 drives...one that works on another Wii? Try the working drive after doing this...

Backup and Format your SD card

    Download MMM_Pack.rar
Extract directly to SD:\ (SD Root)

**Remove your USB HDD and all GameCube memory cards and controllers**

Load Multi-Mod Manager from HBC - Select Wad Manager
    -- Press A

Press 1 to install all wads - Press A

Verify an error free Install of All 4 wads - Press Home to Exit.

(MMM is set to load IOS249, if you don't have it then choose "Load another IOS" and select IOS36).

    Damn I suck!!!!
