Problem with freezing in data management sceen and HBC Browser

Have been hackin' the wii so that I can play DLC for Rock Band 2 from emulated NAND on an external Hard Drive. Right back at the start of my adventure I did a backup of my NAND using BootMii in case anthing went wrong. Since then I have followed two tutorials and installed a couple of wads and apps in the process.

Early on in the process I noticed that my Data Management screen would freeze up if I clicked on the SD Card. I put this down to a dodgy SD card and installed HBCBrowser so that I could download WiiXplorer easily. Then just used WiiXplorer if I needed to access SD Card.

Since then I have noticed that now I can't access Wii Data from the data management screen or the SD card as it freezes as soon as I click on either tab. What I am wondering is - should I be thinking about restoring my original NAND and then going back through the process step by step to get my Rock Band 2 setup how I have it now and therefore working out which step semi bricked me or is there a process I should maybe follow first. I realise that it probably has to do with a faulty wad, but I also realise there is a big risk involved in messing about with wads.

My wads load from my external HDD via HBC and this is what I have in the wad folder:

    CIOSv7.wad
    IOS35.wad
and 3 usb loader forwarders which have always been there and not posed any probs.

In HBC the apps I have are

3 x USB loaders (CFG USB Loader, LoaderGX, uLoader)
    Any Tite Deleter
    (!) cIOS 222 installer v4
    Dop Mii
    Boot Mii
    Dop Shop
Homebrew Browser (which now freezes also)
    IOS 236 Installer v1
Save Game Manager (cos I though it might allow me to access wii memory)
    CIOS (Custom IOS installer 2.0)
    CMDVDX34
    Shop Channel and IOS61 Installer
    Wad Manager (1.4)

I did have WMIOS35 (which when I loaded it was Wad Manager 1.3) and I though it might be something to do with that app using IOS35 so I deleted it (not uninstalled just deleted at the Load screen).

Sorry about all the info but hopefully someone can give me some specific advice.....I have searched Google and the forum but I just wanna be real careful with this.

    Cheers. \m/

Oh yeah - one last thing. Since a couple of Homebrew apps can obviously access the wii system data, has anyone made one that will allow you to delete game saves etc so that if you can't access from the Data Management screen you could do it with a Homebrew app?

Didn't read all that but if you are saying it freezes when accessing the SD card via DM then delete the aktn folder on your SD card (within the Private folder).

Save Game manager does that I believe.

Hey - thanks for the quick replies!!!

Yeah - I read about the aktn fold being a problem in this scenario before, so I checked on that already. No aktn folder and because of the way I am set up now I don't use an SD card. The external HDD takes care of all that now. (Please note - I have this problem without SD card or the ext HDD plugged in too).

I thought that SaveGame Manager might help me out also but it doesn't seem to have a delete option, only copy......unless I'm missing something?

Anything else I might be able to consider?

Thanks again for getting back to me. Really appreciate it.

You can delete your save games with either "Any Title Deleter", "Any Title Deleter Mod", "Any Title Deleter DB", "Nintendo Backup disk 1.3", "wii system format"

As for your issue, I would try to reinstall the system ios and system menu and priiloader. And if that failed to help, I would backup all needed save data and do a system format via wii settings.

    Thanks for that.

Will look into each one. Any suggestions which one is the most user friendly for what I'm trying to achieve?

BTW - is this the guide I need to follow regarding your suggestion to fix my specific problem?:
