Lightbulb Help regarding adapter for 220v outlets

sorry about this very n00b question, i am the exact opposite of my father, who is an electrical engineer while i on the other hand know nothing about electricity. he's in another country right now so i couldn't ask him.

i got handed down an australian wii, which was already softmodded to play US games. the adapter that came with it was 110v. all outlets in our house runs on 220v, so i decided to look for a new adapter. the one i saw in the mall says "ac100-245v", would that work without power bricking the thing?

I'm an american who lived in Europe for 2 years. Here in the U.S. we are 110v and over there is 240v. I would have to have a transformer for certian devices to allow the 110v objects to run. If my adapter said like the one you're looking at that it can handle the range then it was ok to plug straight into the wall with a plug converter. I would look on your plug adapter and see if it has a range on it. If the range is within 110 then you should be fine.

    thanks for the reply.

here the outlet is 220v, and the adapter says 110v-245v, so i guess it falls within the range..
