Problem with certain games not wanting to load...help!

Sorry for being such a noob, but I haven't loaded any games in a while, using configurable usb loader from disc. Got a new one today, Guitar Hero: Van Halen. When I try to load the game in conf usbloader I get an error message right away. I then went to try and play it normally from the wii home screen and the game does not show up light normal when you put in a disc. When I click on it and try to load it says no disc in wii. I tried it on another disc I had from a neighbor (G.I. Joe) and it didnn't work the same way. I have loaded plenty of games before with no problem, is it because these games are too new? Any help would be appreciated. If you need to know any of my system specs let me know and I can try and get them, I am not sure exactly what software versions I am running. Thanks!

Have you tried loading the disc through the disc channel?

That is a possibility. I have no way of knowing until I get ahold of a game I know used to work, they are all at my parents house. Guess I will have to check tomarrow to rule that out.
