Hello, mark here - this is my situation. My setup: Wii purchased in 2009,4.3U, 2Gb SD sandisk. I have successfully installed homebrew via indiana pwns. I have made a backup of the wii nand using Bootmii.
I now want to use Configurable USB Loader for playing backed up games and netflix. I dont play wii that often and dont use many games- my kids play once in a while so the setup I want is as follows: make a netflix channel in nand or SD, Wii Sports channel and a few other game channels that may point to a usb HD or SD. I am ordering a 120Gb WD external drive from newegg $29.00 that will handle all my storage needs. what I want to know is what is the leanest, and correct procedure to accomplish this as I see there are many choices for IOS and such
i get an error: custom IOS 249 is a stub please reinstall it.
what is the proper file order? for the sd card?
what belongs in the root of the sd card
I have SD:/apps/USBLoader/boot.dol I have Renamed the "cfg60-222.dol" to boot.dol in this location, do I need a version of boot.dol in the root of the sd card?
I assume to install an IOS for an app, it must be renamed boot.dol and placed in the apps/usbloader folder and when launched the wii is running under that particular IOS for the app to function
so what is the exact file that I should rename boot.dol for CFG loader to work?

the files on my sd card are as follows
sd:/apps/usbloader/boot.dol this file was "cfg60-222.dol" from the download
again the error that displays when I try to load is "custom IOS 249 is a stub please reinstall it."
how do I reinstall custom IOS 249?
Follow mauifrogs softmod any wii guide if you have not yet softmoded. If you are just missing cIOS then run the cIOS38 rev 17 installer (as long as you aren't using a FAT32 HD to load backups).
He did rename it narse. He is saying the boot.dol used to be named that.sd:/apps/usbloader/boot.dol this file was "cfg60-222.dol to boot.dol
Damn I suck!!!!
I used Removed for homebrew and
Removed for configurable loader
I did a sys check and
IOS222 (rev 65280): Stub
IOS223 (rev 65280): Stub
IOS249 (rev 65280): Stub
IOS250 (rev 65280): Stub
IOS254 (rev 65281): BootMii
