Need to Upgrade IOS249 to run USB Loader GX

Been for a whole week doing research on how to mod my Wii and it seems like I'm already done (thanks to MauiFrog's tutorial)... well, almost done. But I'm so confused °___° (went through so many guides and tutorials and almost all of them seem to contradict each other in a way or another).

Now, I tried to run the CFG USB Loader and already updated it to CFG USB Loader 60 so I could run ISOs from my NTFS HDD but the Wii doesn't recognize the ISOs. So I converted one ISO to WSBF and finally got it detected. But, it seems like I still need to upgrade my IOS249 to rev 18 or higher as the screen below shows...

I'm quite confused and I think I'll stop modding for the day... So I would greatly welcome any advice about this when I start again. I already downloaded the cIOSX_rev19 but I'm not so sure of what to do with it.

Also, I followed MauiFrog's tutorial without the downgrading (since most of the sites I had researched over the week told me not to ever downgrade) and it seems the PriiLoader was successfully installed even if it had two errors (I was just starting to read the errors descriptions when they disappeared from th screen). I think that it was successful because I was able to block the Updates as MauiFrog told us to. Still, if someone sees a critical error on this, please tell me so I can fix it ASAP.

    Thanks for your time.

I dont know enough about which versions you need for which apps but I do know that all you have to do is run the cIOSX_rev19 installer to update that IOS. If you have internet access on your wii just select network install and you are all set.

I'd recommend installing herme's cios 222/223 as well.

If you used my guide, cfg usbloader should detect your isos. You need to load it to 250 for it to work. But if your having issue, just run the ciosx r20 installer and use a base 57 and install to 249.

The 249 in my guide is r17, so it only supports wbfs.
But ios247/248/250 222/223/224 all support fat32 and probably ntfs, so you can use those.
I am not using usbloader gx anymore in my guide, so your on your own with that.

    Thanks for all your replies!!

First of all, I'm proud of me since I almost got half of what all of you told me (and I'm already searching for the half I didn't get )

Second, I must apologize, I never used USB Loader GX. I used CGF USB Loader from MauiFrog's Tutorial and then updated it to v60. I corrected my first post, sorry about that.

I was able to run the WSBF game after changing the setting of the CFG USB Loader to run on 250. But I'm still not able to see the other ISO's. I'm wondering if the fact that I changed the names of the ISOs has something to do with it, since the only game that is recognized is the WSBF one that I didn't rename after the conversion process from ISO went through.

Skellinator, I don't have internet access on my Wii but it seems there are ways of doing it without the Net support. Thanks anyways!

SarimsterX, thanks for the advice but it seems like I already have those (I've been talking and talking about MauiFrog's tutorial and didn't link to it, sorry: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html )

vinatec, thanks for the link!! I'm already on it...

MauiFrog thanks for the tips!! Just a little question: I'm already able to run a game from 250 but, can I run the CFG Loader (as a program from the start) from 250 so it recognizes my other ISO's??

    Thanks for everything everybody!!

makes sure the isos are in HDD:/wbfs

and that each one has the ID of the game in the name

    examples:

USB:\wbfs\GAMEID.wbfs/.iso (Hard to know which game is which..messy)
    USB:\wbfs\Title [GAMEID].wbfs/.iso
    USB:\wbfs\Title [GAMEID]\GAMEID.wbfs/.iso (Best/Clean Way, no Clutter)
    USB:\wbfs\GAMEID_Title\GAMEID.wbfs/.iso

I'm alreaady able to run a game from 250 but, can I run the CFG Loader from 250 so it recognizes my other ISO's??
I will answer some of that, haha. Yes you can get cfg to boot with 250. Plug in the SD card or USB that cfg loader is on (to your PC). Open the Configurator that will be in the "usb-loader" folder and load the config.txt when it asks. Go to global options and change the bootIOS to IOS250. Save and exit the configurator.
    Damn I suck!!!!

when you convert the iso into .wbfs it should of had a 6 letter ID...

you can use wii back up manager open the iso and it will give you the Gamed ID

look in my sig the fat32 loading guide same thing as NTFS
