Neogamma Error 1178, Disc ID for ALL GAMES

    All,

I am getting a Neogamma Error 1178, Disc ID error for all backup games. The second error is Unknown Drive, report 20080714.

I am a little confused on how to fix this. I know the games work, because i used to use DriveKey with these discs. The disks i tried were:

    Lego Batman
    Super Mario Wii, New
    Zelda TP

    Help!

    Thanks,

    Robert

I don't have over a 4 gb usb device. Can i use an sd card instead? How about a USB Hard Drive (500gb)? If so on SD or USB HDD, where do i place the iso file (assuming you use the iso file of the game)?

I'm not gonna lie, that pretty much sucks. I enjoyed keeping game discs lying around.

Is there any other software that supports the d3-2 drives?

sure (for example see below, fat32 loading guide)
but on the long run.. get a usb harddrive, no way around it. there usb harddrives for ~30$

there is really no other options your drive won't read any burned disc per se. no matter what software/loader you are trying to use for this. get a hdd and rip your dvds to that one with your pc or something. (backups can be read by your pc (imgburn -> disc to iso) then drop the iso to your newly bought drive with wbfs manager or similar, i prefer the fat32 loading route (link below) and using wiigamemanger)

    good luck for now

    Thanks.

Could you explain the process if i have an ISO file on my PC and want to load it on my HDD to be used by the third party applications? I already know how to take a game disk and create an ISO file out of it.

Should i create folders on the HDD for use by the Wii? (in case i use multiple games with the HDD)

    Thanks,

    Robert

I recently found a guide to help me out (how to setup a HDD for Wii Games):

Thanks to everyone for all of your help
