    VBA GX issue

The emulator is lagging as hell...the SNES one runs at full speed all the time though, Pokemon Firered is really unstable...runs at full speed sometimes, then it lags...Sonic advance 2 seems stable...but lags too at boss fights and sometimes during the acts...please tell me how this emulator runs for you...I doubt my wii's the source of the issue.

Mine runs fine, but many things could cause it be more laggy. For one thing, I noticed things do that if the apps themselves are run from a usb source instead of the sd card, or if the sd card is just plain crappy. Also have had issues with sometimes roms not loading when I have played them from a disk source, and had to restart the app.

Well...I have this feeling the SD card itself is my problem, it's a Kingston Micro SD adapter, should I try another brand? what's the best SD card for Wii in case my SD card is crappy?

I have a feeling you are correct. The 2 gig regular sandisk sd card function the best with the console and in fact is sold and stamped with the wii logo in the wii console accessory section of most stores.

Yea, Itried to use a kingston once someone provided me to do their mod. Bannerbomb would not load, backup launchers would not create their settings files, and when I tried to use hmebrew browser to install apps, it took 3 times as long to dwonload the data to the card than the actuall install took. Apps didn't run quite right and these folks just ended up getting the sandisk and using the other for their camera or something.

You never know, but since Nintendo personally recommends the sandisk card, there is likely to be a reason for it, and part of our troubleshooting recomendations are to try to use that type of card to see if things improve.

I'm testing another SD card from my mother's camera to see if it's any better...and it kinda is, the lag has been a reduced, not completely but the games actually feel playable now...at least now I know what the problem is, I thought Kingston was an OK brand...but it seems it's one of the worst.

well I know for a fact my HDD is one of the best for Wii...it's a Transcend, maybe I'm better off reading the games from there, but the thing is the emulators don't recognize it, it's got two partitions, first partition is for WBFS and the second is NTFS for storing media and other files, WiiMC recognizes the HDD though, so why won't the emulators load a thing off of it?
