At the front of the disk drive where the disk enters there is a mechanism that opens and closes. It's probably stuck closed and you pulling on the top disk spindle didn't help any. You will have to snap the front mechanism open and make sure you don't knock any gears out in the process. It also connects to the drive with a bar and could've fallen out of place as it's only held on by a small washer that snaps it in place.
I did as you said, but the disc is not reconized by any apps. When I push the eject bottum, "disc channel" ask to to insert a disc and dislays could not read the disc. I never heard any sound such as spinning coming from de drive. The drive looks dead.
