Video cameras work wonders. If you've got the right cabling you might be able to jimmy-rig a camera to your tv, make a recording. Best way I've ever seen was through a USB Gecko device patched right into your computer. Those things were awesome. But they're also really expensive and now very, very rare. Shop in Spain sells them I believe.

You could use something like this and record it directly to your PC.
    Amazon.com: EasyCAP USB 2.0 Audio/Video Capture/Surveillance Dongle: Everything Else

You would need to split your AV signals though but this should work.

Amazon.com: Cables To Go 40650 RCA Male to Dual RCA Female Adapter (Black): Electronics

This is assuming that you are using composite AV and not component AV.

I was looking into easy cap, does it really work well? Will it record the whole screen and can it be in HD?

I have no idea. I keep meaning to buy one, i just haven't got around to it yet. It's cheap enough though that if it doesn't do what you want then it's no big loss.

True, I have heard it is pretty good, for the cost at least.
    So I found this:
Easycap USB 2.0 Video TV DVD VHS Audio Capture Adapter - eBay (item 260614775393 end time Sep-03-10 02:55:02 PDT)

And, are these the second things I need? Just making sure I am getting the right ones.
1 pcs Converter 1 RCA Female Jack to Dual RCA Male Plug - eBay (item 250647157786 end time Sep-05-10 18:59:42 PDT)

Oh, and here is a test in 1080p that I found. The quality doesn't look that bad?
    YouTube - EasyCap DC60+ 1080p HD Test

Another thing, do I need this?
Amazon.com: RiteAV - Audio Video RCA Cable 6ft: Electronics

You will need something to go from the Easycap to your PC. Do you have any laying around in a junk drawer or something?
