Wii games run off an external Hardrive load properly but freeze in-game.
I need some help fixing my softmodded Wii. I'm pretty sure I installed everything fine, I can run emulators and their roms without issues, but I can't seem to play backups with the USB Loader. I've so far tried 3 backups, and all have this weird issue of freezing. With Super Mario Galaxy, It freezes whenever it gets to this certain point in the first cutscene, and its always at the spot. With Monster Hunter Tri, it goes black when I hit Start Game (Or whatever it had been, its just when you hit start to begin playing) and starts to making this whrring sound. And with Super Smash Brothers Brawl, it goes black as soon as I load the iso, no sounds or anything.
All 3 games were obtained from somewhere I shouldn't have said, but each from a different uploader. I downloaded them with JDownloader, and for all 3, JDownloader couldn't extract the files, I had to do it manually with 7zip. With Super Mario Galaxy and Monster Hunter Tri, I had them in the .001 type of extensions and compiled them with HJsplit. With Super Smash Brothers Brawl, I had been given .rar extensions and I extracted the first file with 7zip. When I compiled the Super Mario Galaxy and Monster Hunter 3, I recieved an ISO, which I put onto my HDD with WBFS Manager. With Super Smash Brothers Brawl, I had gotten a .ciso file, which I converted to .iso using WiiBackupManager. I then put it onto the the HDD with WBFS Manager.
I am currently running Homebrew (with emulators and their respective roms) off an SD card, and the backups from an external 2.0 tb hdd with a partition for 60 gb that has been formatted to WBFS using WBFS manager.
Also, I'm using a North American Wii, firmware version 4.2. Bought Gamecube and Wii games run fine. I have a feeling I'm not extracting/compiling the files properly after downloading them, resulting in my .iso files only having a small amount of the required files, leading to the freezing. But then again, the isos are still full size (over 4gb for Super Mario Galaxy and Monster Hunter Tri, over 6gb for Super Smash Brothers Brawl) and I have little technical background, so I'm probably wrong.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
