Super noob needs advice on making a thread title please!!!

I am super new to modding my wii, actually, I am just beginning to think about doing it. I have read a lot about it in the last day or two. I have an older wii, but have updated it often. It is running version 4.2U right now, and is a serial # beginning in LU. It is 3-4 years old. I am looking to soft mod it with a 500 gig external hard drive. I think i want to use wii flow if possible, but am open to any suggestions. Could someone give me a link to the best step by step guide to do these mods. It would be really appreciated. Thank you

What ever you do DON"T UPDATE AGAIN IN THE MEAN TIME!!!! System Menu 4.3 will make it harder for you to softmod.

just use "modmii" and it will give you a full set of instructions and it will provide you with all the files you will need. In my opinion that is the easiest way to hack your wii.

would be much better for him to follow one of the guides on the forum, that way we can help with any problems as we all know the guides pretty much inside out!

There is not a guide that uses Modmii to softmod. Please follow one of our guides in the Recommended Guides Section found here or just have a look in my signature!!

Yeah specially for a newcomer. Modmii's great, but best for someone who knows what to do with all this stuff. Start slow, dream big.

modmii provides you with the guide on soft modding for whatever menu version you want. But I guess you guys are right a noob should follow a pre-made guide that has worked for so many countless members....... 'neub7' we are all here to help you if you need it.

    Thanks a ton guys.

Thanks for all your advise. I have installed the part a of the walkthrough. My homebrew wants to install an updated version. Is that ok? Plus my wii is a virgin to trying to mod it. All I have done is install the updates(I understand No more updates!) Do I have to follow all the steps in A B C and D? Thanks again.
