    bricked wii

im almost certain that my wii has been bricked, but i hope that i'm wrong. i was trying to get bootmii on my wii. i downloaded it as an ios, but i wanted to have it so when ever i turn on my wii, thats the first thing appears. from what i understand, to do that, you have to download it as boot2. well i did that, and shutdown my wii and turned it back on. when all that appeared was a black screen.

    1) is it bricked? (im pretty sure, but im just checking)
    2) is there ANYWAY i can fixt it? (from my understanding there is not, but it doesnt hurt to ask)

I'm having a hard time understanding exactly what you did. What guide were you following? You're saying when you power on now all you see is a black screen? When you power on see if your dvd light flashes once or twice quickly. Also power on again holding reset and see if priiloader comes up. If you are indeed bricked, be advised that this will be moved into the bricked section of the forum.

well my was already modded, and it was 4.2. when i turn the wii on, the blue light flashes once, then flickers a couple times. and i tried the priiloader thing, and nothing happened. i also want to mention, something very strange happened about 5 minutes after i posted this. well after my wii didnt turn on, i went to my room and did my homework. my sister wanted to play super mario sunshine, but i said not now. as i walked out of my room, i say that my wii was on the wii menu and working fine. im not kidding at all. so i was going to get my gamecube controllers from behind the tv, when i accidently pulled the power cord out. yes, epic fail. so i tried to turn my wii on a few more times and nothing. so i guess im bricked. do you know anyway to fix it?

Just curious but try removing your SD card and turn on your Wii. The bootmii install has a very low risk of bricking a Wii. I'm just wondering if it's a problem with the bootmii folder on your SD card.

Well, when Bootmii starts, the first thing it does is look for the bootmii folder on your SD card. If it's not there or corrupt it wont load and just black screen as your seen. You should reinstall Bootmii to get a working bootmii folder and do a NAND backup if you haven't already.

It`s a backup of, basically, your wii. If you brick, but u have your nand backup, the possibilitys of restoring your wii, even if you don`t have boot2, are fairly high.

do the nand backup, it will hep alot

I should add that if you don't have boot2 then you would have to flash the NAND via a hardware programmer such as infectus2 if you did brick or send it to someone with the right equipment such as Bad_Ad84.

    yeah, thanks for the addition
but at least he would have the option to flash the nand, that way in that case the nand backup wouldn`t totally useless.
