Thumbs up soft modding my nintendo wii 3.2u. usa console

hi. im new to modding my nintendo wii. the version is 3.2u
the series model on this nintendo wii is Lu33. i don't know if that is helpful.
so anyways, i got a homebrew channel that was updated to the latest since it was install by legend of zelda.
where i can find a guide to softmod my nintendo that can use all features if possible. use a usb drive for wii games, gamecube backups to play, emulators, homebrew, wiiware games, etc.

so please help me out. thanks in advanced.

It all starts here. On step 3, you can skip 3A-3C since this is a (presumed) original 3.2 Wii. Gen3SF has a USB HD gaming tutorial on our site, Stomp's got a GC backup thread --- use the search feature of this site. Better yet, if you haven't posted in the Introductions section of the site, do that first.

also. which SD Card brand, amount and type do i need to start soft modding and adding stuff on what i need?
    anyone?

also. this step confuse me a bit.

    4. UPDATE YOUR SYSTEM MENU VERSION

Warning - If you don't install the patched IOS60 first you will brick!

This step is optional unless you are on 3.1, 3.3 or 3.4 in which case you must update, if you are on 3.2 or 4.0 you can update if you want and it is recommended that you do, if you are on 4.1 there is no need obviously! If you are on 3.1 you will have to update to 4.0 first, make sure you install the patched IOS60 first though still. Before you update to 4.1 make sure you have at least 250 blocks free or you will brick, install IOS60-patched first with Wad Manager using IOS249, then run Firmware Updater 4.1. If you are on 3.3 or 3.4 then you must update now - DO NOT install priiloader until you have updated as it will cause untold problems!.
    i got 3.2u.
i need to update my nintendo wii if i want to use the SD card feature?
how do i update it without doing the official nintendo wii udate option?

i personally would upgrade to 4.1 as this was the last update to include anything with any value, just follow the guide to update and you will be good
