    Updating all IOS's to the latest with MMM, good idea?

    When doing this should I turn on all the patches, none of them or what? I want to update to the latest for compatability. However I don't want to block myself out of being able to do anything with homebrew, etc.

    Thanks!

    As a rule, an existing IOS will never have new features added to it, to protect binary compatibility. This means that any updates for existing IOSes are only meant to fix bugs -- generally, security bugs.
    as long as you have the ios present a game should work...(only if the game doesnt work gives black screen you should update the ios game uses)

    if you do want to update do not patch all ios.

    only
    ios36=Trucha Bug ES Identify NAND Access

    and do not touch system menu ios....

    50=3.4...60=4.1....70=4.2....80=4.3

    Don't update squat unless you're having a problem with a certian game and know for sure that you have an older ios version than the one the game needs. We've seen lots of people brick by trying what you're thinking about doing. Programs like that and pimp my wii should be avoided at all cost.

    Like the posts above me say, updating the IOS's are not necessary. I have system menu 3.2 and have not updated any IOS's, I have added a few IOS's that were not present on my system menu, but never updated any of them, and all games work, except for a few games that must be burned to disc.
