How to update neogamma r6 to r8(or r9)?

i currently have neogamma r6, ios249 (rev 14) installed on my wii.

i would like to play tiger woods pga tour 11 but i dont think its compatible with neogamma r6 ,since when i try to launch it with the backup launcher it comes out in black and white and the screen is all fuzzy, so id like to update my neogamma to r8(or should i update to r9? which is better?).

since i was not the one who installed neogamma r6 unto my wii i have no experience and have trouble understanding the technical terms.

does anyone know a easy and clear way to update my neogamma from r6 to r8 without bricking my wii.

How do you run Neogamma? from a channel or from the HBC?

look at my sig, "Neogamma", you can also look for a wad in google, then install it with wadmanager. Just put "neogamma r9 wad"

I would go with the link in unrealtron's sig, it is proven safe. I would recommend staying away from Google for wads, as a corrupt wad install is very capable of bricking your Wii.

A bad wad is a possibility, just stick to my sig

so i dont have to do any updating with the cIOS or IOS or anything like that? my wii's version is 3.2U

so i just have to download the WAD manager and the latest neogamma r9 wad (Release 9 Beta 38, is this the correct one?)then place them both in the sd card then run them using HBC? i dont have to uninstall my old neogamma r6?

    in this order :

    1- Not necesary

2-Download wad manager and the file of the thread of my sig, itīs a zip, in the zip there is a readme file, it has instructions, read them, do what they say, and you are done.

3-You donīt have to delete the old neogamma, keep it if you want

hi sorry for the noobish questions but im not quite sure what you mean. i already downloaded the wadmanager but which zip file in the thread of your neogamma sig should i download that has the readme file? there are so many files im not sure which one you mean.

what i also dont get is that i downloaded wad manager 1.7 from the link in your sig and inside it just contained "WADManager 1.7-WM17.wad" why is it a .wad file? does that mean i have to install it with an older version of wad manager?

You can download any version you want, being Release 9 Beta 38 the latest version. You may also want to consider if you want it as a channel or just the .dol file.

With the channel you don't need an SD card to run Neogamma but it takes space in your wii's internal memory while with the Dol you'll need an SD card inserted in your wii all the time you want to play but it doesn't take any memory from your wii.
