    Problem with my WII 4.1U

I need some help. I have Home Brew on my Wii, but I cannot seem to download and CIOs files. I am trying to get down a program so I can burn DVD with games and play them on the Wii. Can anyone help me please?

Not 100% sure what the problem is exactly but have you softmodded yet? If not, you need to see the guide for softmodding system menu 4.1.

He says he has homebrew on his wii so I think his wii is already softmodded, but I don't understand what the problem is.

He was evidentally not using a proven method to enable trucha and install a cios, rather just trying to install a cios and wondering why it won't work.

I'm guessing that HBC is all he has installed and is expecting to play games without installing a cIOS but thats just a guess. His post is rather confusing.

The installation of HBC itself isn't a positive indicator a user has softmodded; for example, if you stop @ step 2 on dogeggs guide you have HBC installed but not be softmodded (which I agree, makes HBC extremely limited at best). Likely he did attempt a softmod, don't get me wrong... pity he can't seem to "get it together" to find our softmod guides in the Recommended Guides section.
