    Do not do a system menu update!!! Menu 4.3 is very difficult to hack and you will loose everything having to do with Homebrew. Besides, the update will not fix your issue.

    The issue has to do with either the router or your WIFI card.

    Yeah thats what I figured..

    I looked on ebay but it just seems to show USB wireless dongles for the wii, i am assuming that I can replace the internal one somehow..

    Still can't believe the damn thing runs on wireless G!
    Lucky I didn't update my router yet..

    Yes you can replace the internal one but obviously it requires disassembly which you will need a tri-wing screwdriver for and a small Phillips head. Once you have the DVD drive out, you will have to remove the metal heat shield to access the motherboard and the wifi card is the one towards the back. The one in the front is your bluetooth card.
