    Ran System Check now what?

We recently brought our Wii in Hong Kong but was smart enough to ask for a US version instead of a cheaper Korean version. It came soft-modded with a lot of channel including, shop, weather, news, internet but not homebrew. We are playing using a 350gb HBB on the cfg USB loader CFGv56 and it can play both NTSC and Pal version games. We also have the Neogamma Backup Loader channel. After installing the Homebrew channel following the instruction on this site, I ran the System Check, this is what I got:

    sysCheck v1.6.1 by Erik Spyder

    Region:
    NTSC-U

The system menu v481 is running under IOS36 (rev 3351)

I did not install DVDx or Bootmii yet as I am unsure what system I have. I was instructed by the sale clerk to never update on the internet. I am currently not connected to the internet; the one time I connected, the wii wanted to update. What should my next steps be? Also the games that are on my portable harddisk, using the WBFS manager to load, none of the covers are showing up. Would I have to connect to the internet to download the artwork to the Wii even though on the WBFS manager, I have it check to download covers from Web.

    Thanks.

You want to install a program called priiloader, assuming you are on a 4.0 or above system menu
    http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...e-0-4-r78.html
Covers should be saved to the SD card, and after you install priiloader and enable the hacks to block online and disc updates, you can download them from the wii, frankly it's easier.

Make sure that Wiiconnect24 is turned off. Then create an internet connection in the wii setting and you are good to go. When prompted to update, decline the update, you can now download your covers. You will have to do this once for every time you create a new internet connection in the Wii settings. So, just as long as you keep the same internet connection in the settings, you will not be prompted to update again. You did it right the first time, you should have declined the update and you would have been done.

Be sure to install Priiloader and block all updates (online and disc) just to prevent accidental updating.

More follow up questions. Should I install Bootmii as IOS as I can't install it as a BOOT2, not an option. Also what system menu do I have on my wii? Thanks.

Yes install bootmii as IOS. You have system menu 4.2u from what I can see. I suggest running the cIOS38 Rev 17 installer ...you have Rev 18 installed right now.
    Damn I suck!!!!

Do I need to install IOS 70 before priloade or does my wii already has it installed. I am so afraid of bricking my wii? Sorry to have so many questions.

Just to add...because it sounds like this could be the case.

NOTE: Users changed who had a Korean Wii region changed to a USA/Eur/Jap Wii, Do NOT Install iOS70patched!

    Unhappy

Was able to follow links and installed ios70 and priiloader. Internet hook up and all my hacks in place to prevent online update. Thanks to everyone. Now when I try to get my covers online, I get an error message: ERROR: sd:/ is not accessible. I have an sd card inserted and formatted. Please advise.

You must use a 2GB or less Scandisk SD card. All else fail.
