need help, not sure where to post this....

So I did the hack located here http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...y-4-2-wii.html and the question I have is this: Can I update from the homebrew, snes emu, and gba emu pages? I know I cnt disk update but is it safe to update this way?

second question, I have the usb loader installed on my wii as well, have been running games with no problems for a couple weeks now, but all of a sudden most all my games off the HDD are starting to freeze a few minutes into the games, any help here?!?!

thanks in advance for any and all help!

Yes it's safe to update homebrew and emulators.

You could possibly have a power saver feature turning your drive off. I know I had to use the software that came with my HDD to turn off the power saving feature so it didn't spin down while playing.

It is safe to update your softmodded wii. but please use the guides on this site as the people are friendly and helpful - never use youtube (or similar) to upgrade your wii

most things you upgrade can easily be downgraded by installing an older version (ie more stable release)

Never downgrade your system menu and please dont try to put a theme on your wii these 2 things are dangerous and should not be attempted.

the best place to look for things to do is in the reccommended FAQ section where you found your tutorial for 4.2 softmod and in the other guides and tutorial sections
    PAL 4.2E|BootMii/Boot2+IOS|Priiloader v0.5beta|HBC 1.0.8|ciosX rev20 [249/57][250/56]
    Wiiflow [rev 254]|WiiMC v1.0.9|1.5TB HDD|

could this still be a factor after Ive set it to play with the wii? And would it not have been a problem originally? Instead of just starting? If this is the problem, where would I find the info on how to go about fixing this problem?
