Help with re-doing some things on my SD card?

Hello all,

I am pretty silly because I lost my SD card that had all my Mario Kart Wii hacks on it and everything was set up proper, but now I need to start again, but forget what to do and how as it has been a while since I have played with hacks. I do have the Homebrew Channel already installed on my Wii, so that's covered. I also have the Orcarina Code Manager with my Mario Kart Wii code .txt file ready to export... but the trouble is that now I have nothing on my SD card - its brand new!

I remember needing Gecko OS to launch the game with codes, and some boot.ELF file... but other than that I am cluless. I tried to put the Gecko folder, my code folder, and a boot.ELF file in the SD card body but that didn't work. Can anyone help me, or help walk through this problem? I'm really kicking myself for not keeping track of my SD card. :(

All homebrew stuff needs to go into a folder named "apps", all boot.elf`s go into their own folder inside the apps folder, eg: "apps/Gecko/boot.elf".

Alright, I tried some stuff and no luck - no GECKO OS app appeared in Homebrew's menu when I insterted the SD card. My SD card's set up looks like this:

Removable Disk (G: ) which contains a folder named "apps" and a folder named "codes", as well as one .txt document titled, "installer". Inside the apps folder is another folder titled, "Gecko1931" inside are the "DOL" and "HBC" files containing different properties. Returning back to the "codes" folder that Orcarina created, I have my Mario Kart Wii code file "RMCE01.gct" already exported inside.

Please, what am I missing, what needs to be added/changed... as I have mentioned I already have the Homebrew Channel on my Wii from last time, so that doesn't need to be done again. I also have and know how to use Orcarina, so that is not an issue.

That's weird, try another app just to see if it works

What sort of SD card have you got, SD, SDHC, micro SD ?

Have you another SD card to try?.

Does the SD card show up in the Wii menu?

Try copying a game save or channel to the SD card.

Is the SD card formatted (fat/fat32)?

If all looks good here then you can update to the latest HBC channel and see if that helps. I believe the newest revision expanded the SD compatibility.

I think the install txt he has on the root of the sd card is because he has updated already to the latest hb. Ive just been fiddling with mine and when you rum hackmii it leaves this file behind.
