Does the SD card show up in the Wii menu?

Try copying a game save or channel to the SD card.

Is the SD card formatted (fat/fat32)?
It is a 2 GB SanDisk SD Card. Was there a significance of the lock switch on the side? I seem to recall it, but not sure... it was unlocked when I inserted it into me Wii, but I don't know if that's a problem.

The lock switch wouldn't keep it from being read. It's more likely a formating issue. Try formating it to either fat or fat32.

I checked it's format and it says it is a FAT format, not FAT32... but you said either or... if you think it needs to be FAT32, how would I format it that way? Perhaps, there's something wrong with the way I put Gecko into my apps folder... I download and unzipped Gecko and then took the next file containing the "DOL" and "HBC" files out of the original folder it came in. Do I require the original folder with the readme and stuff? Thanks.

    Step 1
Turn on your computer and put the SD card into the card reader slot on the front of your computer or the external card reader attached to a USB port.

    Step 2
Click on the "Start" button. Choose the "My Computer" option to bring up a new window.

    Step 3
Right-click on the SD card , and then choose the option that says "Format" or "Reformat" from the pop-up menu.

    Step 4
Click on the option under "File System" and it will open a drop down menu. the menu should say
    FAT
    FAT32
It might list more, if it does don't worry it doesn't matter. Click on FAT32. then click "Start". After that wait for it to finish.

    **WARNING**
MAKE SURE TO BACK UP ANYTHING OF IMPORTANCE ON THE SD CARD BECAUSE FORMATING IT WILL ERASE EVERYTHING ON THE SD CARD

PLZ REMEMBER IF I HELPED YOU TO CLICK ON THE THANKS BUTTON ON THE BOTTOM LEFT OF MY POST

You should uncheck the option for a quick format.

Well, I changed it to FAT32, but no dice. Nothing had to do with the format, thanks for telling me how to do it though. I must have my directories wrong, as the Homebrew Channel doesn't display a Gecko launch button like it did before, my Wii does know there's an SD card in it though as it flashes blue on the Wii System Menu. Any thoughts on what to do? Perhaps someone could explain from an absolutley blank SD card, what to put into it and such, what to download, etc. I know it may take some time, but I'd be mighty greatful!
