Question Upgrade Wii from 4.0 to 4.2: Homebrewed, DopMii'd, ISO36, USBLoaderGX, + more

    Hello,

I recently Set up my cousins original (meaning OLD) wii with USB Loader via the LifeHacker tutorial here: Removed

I originally used system menu 4.0. (I have BootMii as boot1, if that helps)

I was wondering if it would be easy/clean to upgrade to System Menu 4.2, I am having trouble playing some of the larger games (e.g., Lego Indiana Jones) that my friend's wii (which has menu 4.2) runs w/o a problem.

Any tips suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

I am having problems with Lego Harry Potter (black screen and hangs) & Wii Sports Resort (black screen & return to System Menu).

    I have installed these IOS's:
    IOS21-64-v514 IOS33-64-v1040 IOS56-64-v5405 IOS36-64-v1042 IOS55-64-v4633
    As indicated here:
    http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...s-use-run.html

I have also tried scrubbing (With Wiiscrubber) the .iso on LEGO Harry Potter to no avail.

    Should I downgrade my v19 to v17?

I have also searched every thread possible here (at least that I could find) and not found anything useful.

    Thanks.

Just saw your guide here: http://www.wiihacks.com/other-faq-gu...loader-gx.html for Wii Sports resort. It seems to be working (Watching video).

I should have clarified. All of my searching was in regards to LEGO Harry Potter. Thanks.

Did u watch the whole video through? and then change the dol back to original? I would defo try going back to cios rev17. What usb loader r u using? I would recommend cfg usb loader or wiiflow as my second.

Also try editing your posts instead of reposting as u may get a warning.

I am using USBLoaderGX1.0 as my loader.

I did watch the entire video, and was even able to go back and change it to player.dol, which enabled me to watch any 4 parts of the video I chose.

How do you downgrade to v17?

    Thanks for your help.
