    That appears to be the case. The WD Passport 1TB appears to need more power than the Wii USB port is able to supply and so the power on sequence is not in sync with the USB Loader GX bootup. The HDD does work if one plugs it in after starting USB Loader GX so we know it is a sequence. Only WD Passport 320GB and 500GB are truly Wii-compatible. At 1TB, one should go with externally powered options.

    @nixdg and
    @martin -

    Please create your own problem threads and do not hijack BS74's thread. Do take the time to read the site rules as they are enforced here. If you have not yet posted in the Introductions Forum, please do so as you will receive a welcome post with useful information and links. Good luck with your loader problems.

    I was pretty sure someone would confirm if this was true. That was quick. Thank You.

    @nixdg - I took a quick look to see why no one was helping you. First, as described in the site rules, all responses are provided on a voluntary basis and so are dependent on the availability, expertise, and goodwill of the community. Members noticing that you have been posting a number of times in other member's threads would tend to get irritated and decide not to help. Your original thread is a bit confusing and so also probably put some members off. Forums are confusing and it does take some folks a bit of time to figure out navigation, rules, best style of communication.

    I think I have managed to wade through your original post and will respond there. Good Luck.
