    About Stub

Hi, I was just wondering if it was bad to have 249 as a stub? I ran a dop mi check and that was what it said. How do I get it unstub? Thanks for any help.

No, it's not a bad thing. The stubbed IOS249 is Nintendo's attempt to block softmoding. So in other words, if you have a stubbed IOS249 that just means you are not softmoded. If you wish to do so, just follow the guide that fits your wii.

Look up at the top left corner and check which version it is. If it isn't v65280 leave it alone, it's a cIOS. It will say "THIS VERSION IS A STUB!!" because the version of that IOS to install from NUS is only v65280, a STUB, which is what is selected and you can't unselect it AFAIK.

You people need to know more before you speak.

Thank you for the advise. I will never speak again and give my opinion. I will direct all post to you.... in fact, I think that all the moderators should resign and leave full control of this sight to you.

MWisBest, there is really no need for that attitude. The OP did not describe the problem very clearly, krafters diagnosis was correct based on what the OP described. Which is running an IOS check in DOP-Mii...NOT when he is actually in the DOP-Mii menu about to install an IOS as you have suggested. This could all be cleared up by the OP telling us if his Wii was modded previously and posting the syscheck/confirming he ran "Scan the Wii's internals" in DOP-Mii.

Any further arguing will only lead to the thread being closed.
    Damn I suck!!!!
