HDD size limits
PLEASE forgive me if this has been covered...
I've filled my 320gb HDD and am going to get a new one, (never thought 320gb would be too small).
I've spent a bit of time searching, and couldn't find an answer.
What is the largest HDD that the Wii will recognize? I use USBloaderGX, if that matters.
I see that it will only recognize 500 games. OK. I thought I remember reading that it will only see up-to 500gb. Is that correct?
I would like a TB, but I don't want to spend the money if I can't use it fully.
Thanks for any answers, and MODS---If this has been covered, and I missed it, close the thread. PLEASE no RR.

Do NOT PM for Site or Wii Issues
If you use WBFS Manager to install backups of your original games, it has a 500 file or 500 game management limit...NOT 500GB...500 games. The commonly used USB Loaders such as USB Loader GX will officially recognize a 1TB HDD per their specifications and unofficially will recognize 1.5TB.
If you do not use WBFS Manager, but use the ISO backups directly, then no file number limit reported.

Hey gen3sf, thanks buddy. With your answers and the compatability list on this site, I have decided to get a 1TB seagate. Good price, and it works. Only drawback is that its not a 'portable' external HDD like my lil' one. I think I'll survive. Thanks again!!
RESPECT the Mods. They are only Sarcastic if you make them that way. Thats why I appologize in advance most of the time

LOL, I can remember thinking that I would never fill up my first hard drive of a whopping 100mb. I mean, what in the world would I ever put on it that takes of so much room? Or how about 8mb of RAM, man I thought I was so cool.
