Backup Process WiiFlow/USB Loader to Avoid Disc Updates

I have been experimenting with WiiFlow.
Previously, I used USB Loader GX.
It appears that both programs will allow me to make USB HDD backups of discs.
I am using PriiLoader with disc update blocks, etc.
Is there any chance that "installing" a game to USB HDD from USB Loader GX or from WiiFlow will accidently trigger an update to my System Menu?
Is there a preferred way to make a backup to USB HDD to prevent any such disasters?
    Thanks everyone.

When you rip the game to your HDD have it remove the update partition. Then there is no worry. I couldn't tell you the exact process for WiiFlow becuase I don't use it but I do use USB Loader GX and I have the options set to automatically remove the partition when it rips the disk.

It is my understanding that the priiloader hack block disc updates will work. Assuming you have it enabled. I have over 100 games on mine, most of which are direct rips and have had no issues with GX or WiiFlow.

Thanks (good feedback) so far...So, I feel better already. What are the steps needed to get the game to rip to USB HDD directly without ripping the update partition? I do not recall seeing any settings in USB Loader GX or from WiiFlow that have this? Maybe I missed something along the way. Please help me find this settings, or can someone help verify that the PriiLoader Hacks are good enough to block this from occuring? Thanks.

Update: I am searching throught the link provided for Loading and Playing..., but there over 100 pages! What's the short answer here...Thanks.

I just went through my options on GX and realized I'm being dumb. When you rip the game it automatically removes the update partition and scrubs the game without changing any options. Sorry for the idiocy on my part.

No problem. It's cool...So am I safe to assume that using USB Loader GX and/or WiiFlow to rip a Wii Disc takes care of removing the update partition?
Also, there was an earlier link that I found for ncWBFStool v1.0
Does this program let me take a Wii Game, insert it into my PC and rip the game data to a USB Drive?
Does it work better than the WBFS Manager?
    Thanks.

The usb loaders indeed remove the update partition, ripping only the game data. There are only a handful of dvd drives for PC that allow for copying Wii games, and are very rare, also quite costly I would imagine.
