I think that RitekG05 can be found on Office Depot brand DVD -R. I just checked one that I have and it says RitekG04, so that is out of date. I could be wrong though, they may have moved to CMC MAG too. I know that Office Depot and Maxell used Ritek, but it's been so long since I bought any of those brands, I couldn't say.
Last I knew, Sony made their own discs, but I still have a few 50 packs of Sony 8X DVD+R that were manufactured by Taiyo Yuden. I would put Sony above the rest, but below Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden. Sony media will degrade like the rest of the budget DVD media.
Good to know
I have just done some searching and found that Taiyo Yuden are starting to sell discs under the JVC brand, worldwide. I'm not sure of where they're manufactured, but check the label and see if they are made in Japan, they maybe an online deal only. If you find JVC media in a retail store and it is not manufactured in Japan, then they are probably not TY media.
LOOK HERE to see what I'm refering to.
