    USBLoaderGX and disc ripping issues

both wii 4.2 I have work great except they will not rip a cd in USBLoaderGX my 4.1 will do it just fine.
I have been searching seen there was some sort of issue with v5 222cios but was suposed to be fixed

4.2 will load dvdr's load usbloadergx plays fine
everything seems fine but cant rip a game dvd (real or backups)
either it goes strieght back to loader screen or stays everything blanks except the background

Are you using different revisions of GX on the 2 consoles? Some revisions have a broken ripping option.
    Damn I suck!!!!

What rev GX are you using? I know some of the newer revisions are still glitchy. I am still running R866 myself, works fine with cios249 rev 17.

Also I only used Hermes V5 to install 202. 222 and 223 I would still recommend installing from V4 as instructed in Stomp's guide for this.

WBFS GUI intellegent has"advanced extraction" option, which allows for ripping the iso back onto your pc. From there use ImgBurn to burn another copy if you need to. I personaly think the shop channel is pointless, but I imagine people do have a use for it.

I thought you somehow messed up a backup disc, not the loader, sorry. Maybe try reinstalling GX again, after doing whatever you are attempting with the shop channel. I prefer WiiFlow myself, but my son likes GX because of the different themes available, IE mario, etc..

Yes, finally, somebody that agrees with me. I switched to CFG over a year ago, GX has had glitches for quite a while. Switch to CFG and never looked back, I get a good lol when others post of USB Loader GX problems, at least it still looks good. I used to recommend switching to CFG, but nobody listened and I started to sound like a broken record.

Oh no, still having ripping problems. USB Loader GX users should stick to the stable releases of the loader, sounds like the beta releases have a lot of problems.

The problem was, when using USB Loader GX (certain versions?) after installing Hermes IOS222/223 v5, it would corrupt or erase the USB HDD, then all of the games would be lost. This was rare but did happen, I think when a usb device was used to install the cIOS, but not sure what exactly cause the glitch.

I know this because when I modded a friends Wii, I used r929.
But because my friend wanted to be able to play Rugby League 3,
I also installed Wiiflow! So my friend just rips the games through
    Wiiflow.
