    Installing VC wads

I am having problems running VC wads on my 4.2u softmoded Wii. i have searched around for the last couple of days and I cant seem to resolve this problem i am having. I have installed a couple of VC wads using wad mgr 1.6, 1.5 & 1.4 and when I run the game, the screens shakes while i am playing. is it that i cant install VC wads on a 4.2U Wii or do I have something installed wrong? I used the guide on how to softmod your Wii and everything works great! Also the Wiiware games work great without any problems.

Probably because you installed an out of your region VC game.
Try installing a VC game from your region.

I thought of that and I downloaded the Wad Region Converter v0.1. That didnt work plus I have NTSC Wii and the wads I installed are all NTSC. I also tried to convert them to regionfree and it gives me an error when installing them.

Converting doesn't solve anything. It's because NTSC versions use 60Hz for display, and PAL 50Hz. You can regionchange it so that you are able to use it on another Wii, but the game that is implendid is still an NTSC version after all. If you have a PAL TV that doesn't support 60Hz, this could be your problem. Try it on another TV.

I think that is one of the major "Region issues" with Wii games. Meaning...the support of the T.V for different video modes. I don't have many PAL games but I have never had to force any region or mess with the settings, so my thinking is that it has to do with the T.V. being used (Although I am definitely not an expert in that area...). Seems to be a logical reason for why a lot of people have mixed results with region forcing.

Edit: I should clarify that I have an NTSC Wii

You can try to inject a PAL ROM of the same game into a NTSC WAD. This makes the WAD still compatible with your Wii after all, but the video mode is changed because of the game being implendid is a PAL game. Maybe this solves your problem.

I do have a question! when I install VC games what IOS should I install them too. I have been using 249 for all of them, if I have to use a different one then that might be a problem!

Let me suggest to everyone who wants to play NES, SNES, Genesis and Master System games, that it's the best to use an emulator.
With the use of an emulator, you don't need to install something to play games. Just download a ROM from the internet, put it on your USB device or SD card and play.
For N64, you gotta use Virtual Console, because the N64 is emulated pretty poor.

OK, I give up! SNES emulator works good and the SMS & SGEN are doing it still! Also my hard drive or the DVD drive(i have to install ios 202?) is not being recognized in any of the emluators.

BTW thanks for all the help and keeping a great site up & running!
