    Trouble Mounting USB drive

I'd like to state that my USB is in my 0 port and it works 100% fine with neogamma and wiiFlow. The problem is that whenever i launch Ocarina or Gecko, both tell me No DVD...If i try USB Launcher GX it tells me No USB Device Detected....and If I try to install the Homebrew Browser, it says Unable to Mount USB. and then after downloading and extracting the files, homebrew browser says Can Not Open, Aborting.

I can't help but think it's all related...I've restarted the wii and switched the ports many times and as I said, it works GREAT with WiiFlow and Neogamma.. Any ideas?

Probably need to try a different revision of usbloader gx.
Are you trying to load homebrew from the drive? Do you have a fat32 partition set-up for that?

Well, I think I've got the newest revision of USB Loader but I'll check. I'm running a FAT 32 drive for homebrew that is set to primary and active. could there be specific .wad or something that I'm missing?

Does anyone know of something WiiFlow does, or maybe something WiiFlow doesn't require for HDDs? I still can't understand why WiiFlow works perfect, but USB Loader GX and Gecko OS both tell me that they can't mount the USB or no dvd.

Is there someplace I can go to see a list of all the .wad files I have installed, as well as the current CIOS i'm using? Maybe that will give some insight..

Oh...just remembered...there was a thread I saw when first creating my HD that said I needed 2 partitions on the drive...Though right after I found another tutorial that said I only needed 1 partition, so of course I only made one instead of two...could that be the problem??

There's no requirement for two partitions, my entire drive is WBFS. Gen3SF has a USB HD tutorial here.

I read the tutorial Nightstah but I didn't see anything I haven't already done... I suppose there MIGHT be a wad I haven't installed, but I don't know how to check to see what all I currently have installed...

As far as HD compatibility, my drive isn't listed, however it's only one serial digit off from a listed toshiba drive. plus I talked to a friend who's modded over 100 Wii consoles and he's never had an HD that wouldn't work as long as it was properly formatted and set up, which mine is. plus as I said, it works perfectly with wiiFlow and Neogamma

I tried 4 external drives that I had lying around before I got to one that works - all formated the same etc, so there are some that don't work. The problem I seemed to have was lack of power. All powered drives have worked fine for me, self powered drives have all failed except for one verbatim drive which worked perfectly.

Alright Nintendo, I'll keep that in mind. But since my drive works perfect in two USB loaders, I would assume the drive is compatible, right? Or did you have a similar issue with your failed drives?

Also, does it look like I have the proper IOS files? I'm not 100% sure what to make of the IOS report results...let alone what IOS files might effect USB mounting.. So hopefully someone can help

Sorry I hadn't revisited your thread; compare the output of your Wii and IOS to this.
