USB Loader GX can't install games, just blank screen.

Hey, first time poster and first time Wii Hacker. Sorry if I sound like a complete fool.

I'm currently attempting to get USB Loader GX to install one of my games, to see if it works. I'm testing it on Wii Sports, simply sticking in the disc, going to USB Loader GX, clicking the install button, and allowing it to do its business.

However, the very second I click Install, all text and buttons are removed, leaving a blank white screen with a blank blue bar at the bottom. Here, nothing responds, and the only way to exit this screen is to kill the power.

    What am I doing wrong?

Do you have a properly formatted compatible HDD? Is it connected to the proper port? What system menu, version of GX, and Cios are you currently using?

I have formatted my HDD properly, and it is connected to the outermost port.

And I'm afraid to say I don't really know what version of GX I'm using. How would I go about finding it?

Thank you for a speedy reply.

If you recently modded your wii, using one of our guides of course, it will be whatever version you downloaded from the link, most likely up to date. Go to settings in GX, GUI settings, make sure the partition is set to wbfs. I have multiple partitions and have had similiar issues to find out it was set to the wrong partition. You can also try another loader such as WiiFlow. If the problem persist, I would venture to say something either went wrong during the formatting or maybe a compatibility issue.

When I first used USB Loader GX, I had a FAT32 partition. USB Loader GX would not partition it and I recieved the same error when I tried to install a disc. I figured out how to format the drove to WBFS and have hac no problems with either of my two loaders USB Loader GX or WiiFlow.

Cile, how would I download r935? Would I just move it to an SD card, then stick it in the Wii?

Place it in apps folder on SD. I don't believe you have to uninstall the old version ( I am pretty sure the newer revision will overwrite the existing one), but it wouldn't hurt to delete anything GX from your SD/HDD/Wii and install the version Cile linked to.

Its probably an unstable revision...Ive had that problem with a few of them...just stick to the ol' 866 rev i think it is...anyway its the last stable one. I works like a champ. I use cIOSX249 rev19 to run LoaderGX on my softmod wii 4.0u.

rev 17 (Cios249) is still the most recommended here.
