    Exclamation 2 easy questions...

    Hi guys, hope you are great. Well I have 2 questions simple and clean;

    1. Can I play Mario Galaxy 2 on my Wii ver. 4.1U or I need to update it to ver. 4.2U? (I updated my Wii without internet from ver. 3.2U to 4.1U and I have homebrew, neo gamma and SD card)

    2. Can I solve the problem [An error has occurred - Press the eject button, remove the Game Disc, and turn the power off. Please read the Wii operations manual for more information] it comes when I run the Disc Channel? (Some said I have to reinstall cIOS and updated neo gamma is that right?)

Thaaank you a lot guys, and all the best ~

    Regards, Necro

You don't need a certain system menu version to play a game, and 4.1 is the most desireable one to be at.
Our guides require you to use a loader, not the disk channel to launch games.

Thanks bro to explain to me that I don't need version to play games; I was confused at that point thought any time new games gonna come I need to update my Wii ver. to be able to play it
In addition, I was reading about USB Loader but I don't have one with 2+ right now. Also, I bought 50 DVD-R already (lol seems I'm unlucky ^^. Umm, so without loader I can't burn and play new games?

Thanks so much brother oddgriffin, and sorry for late reply I was so busy today

    My regards, Necro Gardna

Updating the system menu does happen to update system files (ios), but it also adds anti-backup measures as well. Since the ios's can be updated manually in softmod wii consoles, there is no need to run the update and suffer with the negative affects of it.

Oh I see, thanks brother Cile ^^ honestly I was confused at that point
Yeah I'm using good quality of the dvd and it's DVD-R imation. Besides, it's fine to me to run the games from neo gamma but though dice channel I always find that msg! Hope if there is a way to run the disc through disc channel directly Finally, thank you so much brother Cile to inform me about the system menu and it's not necessary for playing the games

Thanks brother, I really really appreciate your information and they develop my knowledge in learning the Wii softmod ^_~ Well for now to run MG2, is it right for me to download the iso.wad which is require for the MG2 and put it in the WAD folder in the SD or I got the info in the wrong way during I was reading about the MG2 guide? Sorry to ask you many questions, but last thing about the DVD-R can I use it or it's useless?

Thanks so much brother and I wish all the best for you oddgriffin

That's pretty much it. You can usually just use wad manager to install the ios wad.
There are some games that require additional work to get them to run, but there is a problematic game guide thread for that. You may wanna check that out as it will save you some frustration in the future as well.

I've read about NUS Downloader by bro Tealc; is it what I need now or there is another wad manager... sorry that I'm a newbie ~_~

There are alot of newer tools out there to do this, But the method you describe is old reliable.
Using nusd to download the ios into a wad, and wad manager to install it.
That info can be found in post #2 of the guide " ios's games use to run"
