Whats needed to get a UK Wii to work in the USA?

Hi guys, I am about ot move to the US from the UK, and was wondering if it would be feasable to take my UK Wii with me?

Being a PAL unit, im asuming it would have issues with NTSC conversion on older TVs and would show some games in black and white. Im also aware i would probalby need to get hold of a voltage converter to knock the power up to 240v, or buy a new PSU.

As far as i can tell from a bit of reading on this site, I can do the 3.1-4.1 softmod, which should take care of any region issues, and enable running of original UK and USA discs. It should also sort out the black and white issues as you can force which standard you want. Correct me if I am wrong?

Also i would most likely do gen3sf's guide for using a USB hdd to load Wii ISOs, hopefully that should sort the console....

If I am missing anthing obvious please correct me or point me in the right direction, Id just rather have everthing clear what needs to be done if it is going to be worth taking it over other then just buying a new console.

Thanks for you time guys, and appologies if this has been covered elsewhere, i couldnt find it in the search so thought i would take a punt and just ask

    Trip

    It's easily done.

Mod the Wii so it becomes a NTSC Wii. The only difference is in the software.

The external power brick should be cheap enough to source on eBay or something like that. Changing this will be so much easier than working with voltage converters as the US uses a different frequency as well as voltage to the UK and Europe.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

Just to ask an obvious question, but did you mean UK to US? Otherwise, your post really doesn't make sense. Your subject says one thing, the actual content of the post, another.
