Using iPhone teather for wii Internet

I am trying to find a way to use iPhone teather as the wii's Internet connection via pdanet or myfi. Am I right in understanding that these are adhoc connections and that the wii cannot connect to it? Surely there has to be a way to force the connection. The wii will detect the access point and try to Connect but I get an error message. Has anyone successfuly done this?

that would be sick. There is one way i think you could do it. First you would need a repeater. Like the ASUS RT-N13U Wireless-N Router, Access Point, and Repeater. The you would have the repeater connect to the iphones adhoc network and the concet your wii to the repeater

Thanks for the quick reply... A repeater you say? I shall check into this. So basicly I will be needing some sort of addtional hardware? There's no other way?

I only want it for stuff like homebrew browser and ios installs. And I have AT&T unlimited data but it's actually faster than you might imagine. It works great for tethering on my laptop.

There was no Disrespect from me to the OP of this thread... all links and words were in good intention....
When you create a thread and you do not list the errors that you get when trying something, then us as users (even others not just me) we dont know what you have tried and not tried. What i did was link you to there page about the app and maybe they had a support page about the app that you could also get help to... and if you got a error on the wii then you could have listed it so then we could point you in the correct area of this forum or even give you a solution... Im sorry that it came to this, hopefully we all learned a lesson here....
