Unhappy After softmod - games play but any system stuff crashes

I have a 4.2e system that I softmodded using Shadow's guide. I am able to play off my USB HDD and original disc games work fine. However I can't get DVD to plays and now whenever I try to run any system stuff, even syscheck, the wii hangs and I have to turn it off and on again. I was able to pull this off the SD card from syscheck:

    sysCheck v1.6.1 by Erik Spyder

    Region: PAL
The system menu v482 is running under IOS36 (rev 3351)
    Hollywood v0x21
    Console ID: 124395873
    Boot2 v4
    Found 72 titles
Found 26 IOS on this console
Found 10 IOS Stubs on this console

Also when I ran the syscheck through DOPMii it only returned the first 2 iso and then hanged:

ISO 250 v65535 Fakesign ENABLED - E_Identify ENABLED - NAND ENABLED Flash DISABLED

ISO 249 v17 Fakesign ENABLED - E_Identify ENABLED - NAND ENABLED Flash DISABLED

What can I do (if anything)?

Have you got hermes installed? Try installing patched ios 70 again. Could be a corrupt ios?

There was no way to tell. The two that I listed above are all that showed up.

Before installing ios 70 try a fresh install of hermes. Installer in my sig.

    Install as Messies Guide

You can now install ios202, ios222, ios223. From HBC, run cios222 installer and select ios249 to use. At the next screen, choose the following, one at each turn:
-ios202, for usb - using ios38 (needed for USB2.0 support at Media Players)
-ios222, for uloader - using ios38 (needed for USB support of instruments and stuff)
-ios223 mainly for GH5 - using ios38 merged with 37 (same as above)
Mind that you will need an internet connection for this!!
Just to make sure it wasnt a dodge install first

use dop-mii and uninstall ios 222,223 and 202 if you do have them (do not uninstall any other)see if it fixes it then just find the hermes v4 guide and install it again....

Thank you!!! Ok. Now I can run sys stuff. Still can't play DVD's with MC Player or WiiMC but it's a start. Was able to do a full syscheck now.

You wanna post it? are you able to play disk backups that the d2-3 chip would normally not allow? Did you get 202 reinstalled?
