What did they say when you saked them at we hack wii?
I recently just softmodded my 4.2U black wii and downgraded to 4.1U using the guide found here: , and set up my IOSes according to the guide here: Guides that make your buttons not respond
Everything runs without a hitch and I have been able to back up and play all my games via my USB HD. I do have one problem however. On my copies of Wii Sports Resort and Twilight Princess, the home, plus and minus buttons on my Wii remote are unresponsive. As a result, I can't pause Wii Sports Resort, nor access my inventory/save on Twilight Princess, and the only way to quit either game is to power cycle my Wii. I've tried using various USB loaders, as well as playing the original games via the Disc Channel. Same problem. I have about 5 other games and they do not have this issue.
I've also noticed there's a segment in Super Mario Galaxy on the Rolling Green Hills level where you need to hold the Wii remote upright during a tutorial and it won't register, making this level unplayable. This may not be related though.
The only explanation I can think of is that my sensor bar recently fell of the TV, but that doesn't explain why everything consistently works on some games and consistently doesn't on others.
I've searched high and low for people experiencing this problem and can't find anything. In the meantime, I'm going to try using a friend's sensor bar and remote to see if that helps.
Any ideas, folks?

They initially said to try re-dumping my games, and then to set my IOSes to the versions in the DOP-Mii guide. No dice. I've posted there again just now, and am awaiting another response.
One would hope so. I see no harm in broadening my horizons though. There are more people perusing this site, so maybe I'll stumble upon someone who has had this problem before. In any case, it can't hurt.
Of coarse there is also nothing wrong with having used one of our guides, so that we could actually know what you did to your wii and better solve the problem.
First off, their 4.2 softmodding guide is exactly the same as yours. In addition to following that, I used DOP-Mii to install the latest versions of IOS 37, 38, 53, 55, the latest non-stub version of 60, applied the trucha bug to all of them, then used DOP-Mii to download the 4.1 system files from NUS and downgrade. Fair enough?
Doesn't look like it to me.their 4.2 softmodding guide is exactly the same as yours
Damn I suck!!!!
Ok, let me rephrase. Their softmodding guide is the same as yours, but without installing cIOS 38 (My Wii can't do disc backups, so there's no point), and involves installing cIOS 222 and 223 afterwards (which you suggest after your guide)
As for downgrading, I saw no reason not to. The procedure looked sound, many people had done it without problems, and there were some anti-piracy measures it was supposed to remove.
If you have no idea how to help, that's fine, I just want to see if anyone here has experienced this problem.
