Question "Please plug a USB HDD on port 0 or press Reset" Please HELP!

I have been using my USB HDD for a few weeks now loading games from it without any problems via WiiFlow 1.1, my external hard drive is a Western Digital My Book Essential 1.5TB External Hard Drive (WDBAAF0015HBK-00). I go to load up wiiflow earlier & it is telling me "Please plug a USB HDD on port 0 or press Reset", it has been working fine with no problem the past few weeks. I just recently bought it about 3 weeks ago so it shouldn't be broken already & it is showing that it is compatible here: USB Devices Compatibility List - WikiTemp

    Works as USB Loader

Doesnt WorkHad to update firmware to remove WD SmartWare (comes loaded on new drive). Tried various combinations of partitions, USB Loader would only recognise games on first partition and would never recognise if just a single partition. Tried single FAT32, NTFS, and Raw partition - USB Loader GX couldnt see games loaded. Tested on a Wii softmod with system menu version 4.1E, USB Loader GX, WBFS Mgr, and Neogamma R8. Neogamma R8 had same problems as USB Loader GX. IT WORKS , U NEED THE HOMEBREW CHANEL WITH THE CONFIGURABLE USB LOADER INSTALLED IN IT. FROM THERE PLUG THE DRIVE DIRECTLY IN THE WII AND FORMAT IT. YOU GUYS SHOULD REALLY TEST THINGS THROUGH BEFORE SAYING IT DOESN'T WORK.
I have my USB HDD plugged into port 0, before when it worked as soon as wii would power up the lights on HDD would light up. It doesn't light up anymore like its stuck in some kinda sleep mode or something, has anyone had this problem before? Is there a possible fix for the, I also tried using USB Loader GX & my USB HDD still isn't powering on but when I plug it up to my desktop it powers on fine.

When you say the "fuse" of usb port-0 do you mean the fuse inside or the usb outlet itself? I just put a flash light to it and the outlets seem too be fine, no damage to outlets. Also my usb cable to my WD HDD is brand new & it is still in tact, no damage to it. Now when I try to plug my HDD to my computer it isn't lighting up, I just bought this thing & I have like 50+ games installed on a WBFS partition set as primary partion. I believe I still have WD SmartWare installed on the hard drive, I also noticed that there is a power button on the back of the hard drive by the usb / power outlet. My drive usally should just come on when hooked up to a usb device, this is really starting to annoy me because I just picked this thing up 3 weeks ago.

I have 4 partitions on this external hard drive, 1st: WBFS format, 2nd: NTFS format, 3rd: FAT32 format, 4th: RAW format

You've seen fuses go out on F3 & F4 locations? If F3 & F4 are the USB ports then they are both properly working, I plugged the wii USB plug to port 0 & everything worked properly. I don't think the outlets are the issue because I can not get my external hard drive to power up with lights on, computer isn't picking up drives like it's either dead or turned off. I went to WD's website & the support page isn't all that great. I'll give the other USB cable a try and let you know if it works are not. About the power button on the back of the external hard drive, i pressed it after getting this error hoping it would turn on. Right before I pressed the power button I had all drives pulling up on my computer, after pressing power on wii nothing happened. I then plug hard drive back up to computer and now lights do not turn on. Is it possible that the power button may have turned the device off? If so I am not able to turn it back on using power button.

Okay, so I have just finished trying another usb cable & the har drive is still not powering on. I'm starting to think that the power supply went bad already, I wouldn't have bought a Western Digital if it wasn't recommended. I just came across this thread searching google, seems like I may have got a bad device.

Western Digital My Book Essentials will not power on (no light in front). - FixYa
Unplug ALL the cables that are attached to the Western Digital Hard Drive. In other words PHYSICALLY disconnect the firewire/USB cable from BOTH the computer and the Western Digital Hard Drive.Do the same with the power adapter, unplugging it from the wall outlet as well as the Western Digital Hard drive. Now shut down your laptop or computer. Then plug EVERYTHING back in. Now re-start your laptop or computer. Everything should work fine and be back to normal. Good luck.
I tried the suggestion of unplugging & letting rest but I still get no lights on no matter what.

Is there anyone out there that may have had a similar problem with any WD MyBook, this is starting to drive me crazy. I have files on there that I do not want WD or Bestbuy to see, this hard drive is only 3 weeks old! What should I do, does anyone have a fix for my problem?
