    Wii system update question

So i had my wii hardmodded with a wiikey 2 for sometime, but went ahead and did the softmod with the cios and got homebrew channel and all, so running ios249 all good.. I got the game "tetris party deluxe" and it works great , but when i stick the game in, in the game channel it says " wii system update" im already running 4.2u. Whats this update about? will this mess up all the modding ive done and causea potention harm. I can run the game through neo gamma so i dont have to update though...thanks

Did you do the priiloader install part of the softmod? This would prevent this update nag.

No need to post a link. Priiloader in addition to allowing access to the wii when the system menu cannot be accessed (brick), also has hacks to allow for changes in the behavior of the system menu, one of which prevents system updates from disk.

It's like bootmi in the sense that as I said before, it will load before the system menu to allow access to bootmi or homebrew channel if the wii is having issues. It doesn't create or restore a nand, but it does hack the system menu to allow for some changes. You can always google it or search the site for a guide to it.
