Guess, oddgriffin solution is the best. But I am reluctant to softmod as I am new to this softmod thing...and could end up bricking my Wii.
I know how to copy the NTSC game to an SD card via the Wii...no problems. Any good link for the USB loader that you can guide me to? The Wii is 4.2E.

Well, you could try USB Loader GX, but USB loading requires a cIOS, which requires that you softmod it. So unless you want to softmod it, you will have to use Gecko. Gecko requires the homebrew channel to be installed, install it using this guide: Homebrew setup - WiiBrew, also, if possible, install Bootmii as boot2 (installing Bootmii as boot2 will make you wii unbrickable). If it cannot be installed as boot2, install it as IOS. Then, just place Gecko in the apps folder of your SD and you are ready to go!
Awesome sig picture does not work

Oddgriffin/Krank/Bliepo....IT WORKED!!!!! I have installed HBC + DVDX + Bootmii as an IOS. I have also backed up NAND on my SD card. Thanks a lot to all three of you for being patient with me. the guide given by Bliepo made everything so simple. Some more questions...

    1) Why is a NAND back up required....just curious? What do I do with the backed up SD card. Store it in a safe place?
    2) Tomorrow I intend to load Gecko.....should I use a separate SD card to download gecko and install it in the application folder of HBC or the above SD card itself. I am presuming then I would subequently load my NTSC disc and then force a region change and it should work? Is this correct.

I will keep you posted tomorrow...but thanks to you guys again for making this happen!

Did you go to wiibrew.com and look for the instructions?

12345blake, be careful about disc updates. About 3 weeks ago, I was in your same shoes...I had five (5) original NTSC discs for my pal 4.2E and did not know what to do. But the guys in the forum were great and helped me softmod my wii and I can play all dics now. The problem you might have is that when you load your NTSC disc on Gecko, it will ask you to update your system and if you do that, then you will brick your wii!! The best solution is for you to install priiloder (look at the several guides available.....I used shadowsonics guide) and then you can play any disc in your wii without worrying...
