Yes you can use the usb loader to rip the games straight to your hdd and then when you connect the hdd to your comp you can do what you want with them.....

If you are talking about putting hb apps and usb loader settings onto your hdd then you need a fat32 partition to do this but id just stay with the sd card as its quicker and at the end of the day cost peanuts.

Just use the wii flow guide I linked you to and you will get the basics HERE

Ps I like talking cars lmao

I was talking about ripping the games to my ext hd to play str8 from the ext hd without having to put them bacck on the pc and write them off?

I put game in Wii eventually worked out it was the + sign to install game (I think) pressed it it said INSTALL GAME? I pressed A and screen is just white doesnt seem to be doing anything? God I feel like a tard?

You dont seem to be a fan of GX loader so I'll try and install Wiiflow and see if its any easier.

To recap I just want to copy the originals I have (for back up purposes not so I can Ebay them honest) and be able to play them off my ext hd. Do i have to rip em put em on PC and burn or can I rip em str8 to ext hd and play em on Wii?

    1) place the .dol file in a folder named Wiiflow, which is then placed in the "apps" folder on the root of your sd card

    2) Yah man! Just put the game into your wii, click on the little "plus" button and it will install directly to your HDD

    3) not available

    4) "Im not sure"

    5) Go for it! Call to $3200! You have that third credit card for a reason!

    EDIT: Narse always beats me

    Right done this

    1) place the .dol file in a folder named Wiiflow, which is then placed in the "apps" folder on the root of your sd card

When I go to wad manager it only lets me install stuff off the root of the sd card and not select directoy?

Aslo the gx loader did not intsall the game and i left it running overnight I did notice that when you click install game another option flashes on really quick you cant read then the screen stays the same with the music playing? and you cant press any buttons?

Hang on I think I see my problem.... You told me to dl WiiFlow 222 version and i did but the file is only 3.5mb I looked at another Wiiflow download link - Download Here (66.19MB) <---loads bigger.

Have I just downloaded a bit of it and I need that 66.19mb file? Am I a spanner or were you possibly a bit vague? (GASP!)

Thanks in advance again. I am installing it off SD card as well and not ext hd.

    OK...

First thing: If you only have a .dol file for Wiiflow, then thats not gonna work... go to the link in my sig and download that Wiiflow pack. The only reason that other download is bigger is because it includes a bunch of themes... none of these downloads are missing files. In the download pack from my list, there should be an "apps" folder, everything inside this folder should be just dropped into the "apps" folder on your sd card.

Second: Upgrade WAD Manager to 1.5, if havent already, from the same list in my sig. All .wad files must be placed in the "wad" folder on the root of your sd card, then when prompted in WAD Manager select load from sd card; also select ios 249 when promted.

I dont know what the issue with GX loader is, but there is ALWAYS a few problems with that loader, especially for people new to modding... for now just stick to Wiiflow.

I really must be missing something here? You said you wiiflow download in your sig should contain an apps folder i should put on my sd card yet it only has an r41.dol file? My head hurts! I didn't think I sub normal but now the doubts kickin in!

Here is a snapshot of my sd card and a wiiflow rar I have does this help you dumb it down for me? I am on wad manager 1.5 already btw.

    Thanks

Updated brainwave - I put the wiiflow dir in the root, i copy the apps contents into my sd apps contents and the same for wads? Is it that simple?

Looks that way yes - the wads are different forwarders to direct to the wii flow on the sd card - Just install one of those so you have a channel on the menu. If you want to try wiiflow 222 then d/l the 222 dol and replace the dol file in the wii flow folder.

Sorry just realised that was the wii flow package on the right not your sd card.

Anyway all you need on your sd card is apps and wad folder. You could copy the contents thats on the sd card as it is and have a backup on the pc but any loaders etc will create new config files etc on the sd card.

The Nforwarder.dol that is included in the pack can be installed through pri loader so you can have the choice of just skipping the wii menu and going straight into the usb loader.

I'm sure I have the file and I know you said put the r43_222.dol in a folder but do I rename it? Which folder ecactly on my sd card? Do I remove any files? Have you installed hermes? 222 is part of Hermes.
I told you to put wiiflow222 into the apps folder on your sd card - rename that to wiiflow and the 249 rename to say ex wiiflow249
