Question Help needed. PM me with a thread title for this.

    Hello,
So i've spent couple days reading articles, FAQ's. The reason why I'm here is because i would like to find out how to play games that were downloaded from internet, and burned on DVDs. I don't want to do any changes to hardware(modchip). So my question is what do i need in order to play backup up games?
I really appreciate your time and help. I already followed thru guide on soft modding 4.2, and did all the steps.
I don't need replies like: "Use search button", "There is plenty of guides & FAQ" bla bla bal. I need little help and that is why I created this thread. Thank you!

I really hope you're not speaking of piracy. We support backups of games that you own which is what I assume you're trying to do. That aside, you've provided us with limited information in order to help you... Have you tried to load any discs? Keep in mind that if your wii was released in the past year you probably have a new chipset that prevents loading backed up dvds. Can only load games through a usb hdd.

if you did the 4.2 guide then you should be able to play backups already without hardmods as this gude is a softmod guide.

depending on the drive chipset your wii has it may be physically unable to read backup media period. If this is the case you will have to backup your original disk to a usb drive. This will allow you to launch and play the game from usb hard drive while your original stays safely on your shelf in the case. If you followed the guide including the steps for installing Neogamma channel and you legal backups are not launching from this channel then chances are you have one of the new drives.
If i helped you please click thanks.

Thank you for responding. Yes I'm talking about backups So I got this Wii around Christmas. Whenever I'm trying start game I'm getting in Neogama "error 1252, disc ID. Unknown drive, report 20080714", and in disc channel "unable to read the disc.".

And as i read somewhere before the only way to find out about chipset is to open Wii?
