USB loader GX hard drive issues

How would I switch from using SD card to hard drive with out needing the SD card in wii to use hard drive. All the path have been changed to USB but for some reason its needs SD in there to find hard drive or something.

    Any ideas?

Many programs require an sd card because that's where lots on information such as game play settings and whatnot. Why not spend $5 and get an extra 2GB SD card to leave in there?

I take you have stored them on the fat32 partition? Try marking the fat32 part as active as this worked for me.

Make sure you update usb loader gx from the settings menu in the app. it works without a sd card provided you're running off the channel that has the program installed. also make sure that you're runnig off the program and not the forwarder channel for usb loader gx as that requires the program to be installed on the sd. this advice is only useful if you're having problems with getting loader to work at all, if you're having problems with the covers then I'd look more at what narse was saying.

It does indeed but however if you want to store any game settings or cover art you need some where to store them..........
