    F%#@ed my 4.2e right up?!

A friend of mine advised me to soft mod my wii instead of paying to chip it and gave me this site for the guide Http:/www.imodwii.tk.
I don't know if your aware of it but it takes you 3/4 the way through then asks for $30 for the rest (my friend never checked that far).
I've read through several guides and tried to work out the remainder for myself and I have NeoGamma and USB loader on my channels but I keep getting an error when I try to load a back up (Ben 10 alien force on a verbatim - R wrote at 2x in imgburn) its error 1252 if that helps?
I seriously don't know where I'm up to can I just start again? I stupidly have no NAND back up, I know I'm a silly sausage can anyone please help me?

Could be that you cannot play backups due to a D3-2 chip. When did you purchase your Wii?

Don't pay anything though, sounds like you have most of everything installed.

You may want to run hackmii installer through Homebrew channel to get a bootmii backup and you'll also need Priiloader.

Run through one of the 4.2 guides in the tutorials section to get everything you need without paying anything, although a donation to the site would be very welcome if we save you a few dollars.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

You could also do a quick sys check to show us what you have got....

D/L sys check from my signature below.
unzip and put contained folder in apps folder on sd card
    Open up HB
    Run syscheck 1.6
    Exit when finished.
Take sd card back to computer
On the root of sd card there will be a csv file
Open this with word pad and copy and paste the results

What did that guide tell you to do? Just install HB lol. You have no cios. Follow this guide http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...y-4-2-wii.html

Although your ios36 looks fakesigned already so I would skip that step

    Dont worry you aren't F'd

You installed hb, boot mii and dvdx with the other guide I take it. Was boot mii installed as an ios or boot2?
(This is the first step in the guide by the way)

Just read the guide through and when you feel confident go for it. Just remember never UNINSTALL an IOS under 200

    Step 5 - Installing cIOS249-rev17

    a) Re-run Homebrew Channel and load cIOS38-rev17 Installer. Choose IOS36 and press A and then choose Network Install (requires wi-fi) or Wad Install (offline) and press A.

    cIOS249 Installed.

This bit loads 21-23 ok but then comes up as error on the end?

    Also in this bit:
Step 4 - Delete The Stubbed IOS

a)Re-run Homebrew Channel and Load DOP-Mii again. Choose the first option by pressing A (iOS:36), You should now be taken to a menu with three options: iOS, BC, mIOS. Select iOS by pressing A. Go to iOS222. Under currently installed, you should 'Stub', Press - on your wiimote and press A to confirm. Do the same un-installation process for iOS223, iOS249 and iOS250 also. Do NOT remove any Other IOS!

    Once done, exit.

I didn't seem to be able to delete them is this because I've done it previously?
